Catching Stud Largemouth Bass Out of Slims Fish Camp Lake Okeechobee

Hey everybody this is Capt Dave Lauer calling in a fishing report for Lake Okeechobee.

Here is your Catching Stud Largemouth Bass Out of Slim’s Fish Camp Lake Okeechobee report. We fished out of Belle Glade, Slims Fish Camp, a must see if you come to Lake Okeechobee. Tory Island is a beautiful place on the southeast corner of Lake Okeechobee.

I had the pleasure of fishing with a gentleman from Wisconsin. His name was Brian Jensen, owner of a fishdy, a mapping app for fisherman. It is an incredibly useful tool on the water.

We started off the day with artificial, and I’m not going to lie you it was tough. We we got some little fish using a multitude of techniques, creature baits, swim baits and swim worms.

So at 1 o’clock, we went back to Slims Fish Camp and grabbed two dozen shiners. We wanted to show the world he can catch big fish. I think he caught one over 6 pounds, another over 7 pounds, and plenty in the 3 pound range.

We were super stars and felt like it. That’s what the shiners can do. Anyway this Captain Dave. Keep Catching big fish. Talk to you tomorrow.
