Slims Fish Camp Bass Fishing Trip

When it comes to bass fishing, Lake Okeechobee is where you want to experience it. A Slims Fish Camp Bass Fishing Trip is something we want to share located on the South East corner of Lake Okeechobee.

Today, I had the pleasure of fishing with the Craniston brothers traveling from California to fish this legendary lake. Max and Miles were excited to see what they can catch on the Big O!

While the brothers are in high school, they are searching for some great college fishing teams here in Florida. Lake Okeechobee had a special day for them in store while they took a break from the search.

Artficials were not as effective as the wild caught shiners we were using but we managed to catch a few. Most of the largemouth bass came on the shiners.

It was a sunny hot day with temperatures in the 90s. The bite was still steady and produced some quality. Cloud cover was not in-store today on this bass fishing trip.

Max and Miles caught bass weighing up to 6 pounds with numbers of 3 to 4 pound fish. They also both caught a pair of 5 pounders.

I am looking forward to fishing with them again in the future while teaching more about the sport and Lake Okeechobee. I wish them luck on their adventures in College and searching for the right university.
